How to Get the Tea Gift You REALLY Want!

With the Internet being flooded with tea deals left and right, and most of these being composed of dust-filled teabags and a holiday-themed mug plus some high-fat, high-calorie snacks, how do you get the tea gift you really want? So we present some methods that are tried and true.

Use Word-of-Mouth — Be sure that your family, friends, and co-workers know your preferences when it comes to tea. At this time of year, subtlety is a waste and forthrightness is a must. And by all means don’t worry about being overbearing here or you’ll end up with something not fit to even water your plants with.

Include Them in Your Tea Time — Sharing your tea experiences with these potential gift givers is a way for them to know these teas first hand and more fully understand what to get you. Forgive them, though, if they don’t get you just the right pu-erh or the right Silver Needle. Just be grateful that it’s not some generic black tea or white tea, either loose leaf or bagged.

Use Your Social Media Contacts — Got a Facebook page? A Twitter account? A LinkedIn account? Then you’re connected! Start posting and tweeting about the teas you like, mentioning how you need a new gaiwan or how a new Chinese style teapot would be good. Maybe even locate the items you want and post links to them so on your social media sites. They’ll be sure to notice.

Encourage Gift Cards as Alternative — If you don’t think the above will work, leave lots of hints that gift cards that you can use at tea vendor sites to get what you truly want tea-wise!

Here’s hoping these tips will work and garner you a great harvest of teas that will satisfy and last for months to come in the new year!
